There were a lot of off-grid power solutions at the conference this year, demonstrating the huge demand for a way to bring security equipment to areas where traditional power sources are inaccessible or prohibitively expensive. Beyond its sleek appearance, the Gridless solar cylinder offers numerous benefits thanks to its intricate, custom design. Because wind flows around its curved surface, the cylindrical shape reduces wind pressure and offers better resistance than traditional flat panels. This makes it both safer and more efficient. The design also incorporates more cells, allowing the solar cylinder to capture sunlight continuously throughout the day, great for colder regions. It handles shading more effectively and remains cleaner and snow-free, as the shape prevents accumulation, unlike flat panels. It is customizable, allowing you to stack and build up multiple units for greater power generation if needed. With its innovative design and remarkable functionality, the Gridless solar cylinder is a game-changer for outdoor security deployments.
To optimize performance and reliability for Gridless customers in colder climates, we have also upgraded our battery technology to perform in extreme cold weather, operating in temperatures as low as -40°C. The built-in heating system automatically activates to maintain optimal performance at these low temperatures, preserving higher energy capacity as the temperature drops. The design of the Gridless unit prevents the risks associated with charging the battery below freezing, which could otherwise cause permanent damage. Additionally, Gridless’ advanced battery management system, gMS, enables you to monitor your battery anytime, anywhere, giving you real-time awareness of its status when temperatures drop.
